Henan preserves ancient figurine art

A craftsman carves an ancient-style figurine in Nanshishan village, Mengjin county, Henan province on January 5, 2014. This is just one part of the process in making Tang sancai art. The village is famous for making this ancient-style art. According to historical records from Mengjin county, the pottery craftsman Gao Liangtian succeeded in copying sancai art works with vivid colors. The village became the re-birth location for the Tang sancai technique, which was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008.[Photo/icpress]
