Guo Pei: Instead of commodity, a dress can be art

Well-known Chinese fashion designer Guo Pei topped Time's list of most 100 influential people earlier this year, with her works opening up a brand new world where people worldwide see the charm of Chinese fashion and culture. When American singer Rihanna walked the red carpet at the New York 2015, wearing the Chinese designer's trailing yellow gown, the world was shocked by Guo's art creations. In fact, her opulent dresses are worn by many celebrities, such as actresses Zhang Ziyi and Fan Bingbing.

Guo is widely considered China's first hautest couturier and is the first born-and-raised Asian designer to be invited as a guest member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.
