“圣誕老人”是童年最真最純的夢，可是，即使等到你遠離童真不再期盼圣誕襪里的驚喜，你也應該相信圣誕精靈的存在。他不只是商家手中蓄著雪白胡子的紅衣老人，也不僅僅只會在圣誕前夕才從煙囪里冒出來給眾人分發禮物。“圣誕老人”更是博愛、互助的象征，代表著用真心送遞祝福和分享愛心的愿望。

世界各地到處都有圣誕老人的身影，他會使用不同的名字，形象也不盡相同。在美國，它叫Santa Claus，是個圓乎乎胖嘟嘟的快樂小老頭；在德國、奧地利和瑞士，它叫Christkind（耶穌圣嬰），是一個身穿白衣的金發小姑娘；在英國，它叫Father Christmas（圣誕之父），比其它圣誕老人更莊嚴，更清瘦……

不管它叫做什么，長成什么模樣，“圣誕老人”的真正精神在于——你給與了什么而不是得到了什么。一旦懂得這些，你就明白，圣誕老人就住在你的心里面。

在影片《極地快車》中，當尋找圣誕老人的火車駛入北極圈，相信圣誕老人存在的小男孩和多才多藝的小女孩站在極地特快車廂的盡頭，合唱了這首憂傷的“When Christmas comes to town”（《當圣誕來到小鎮》）。純凈的童音，就像孩子的心靈一塵不染；簡單的歌詞，就是孩子的內心獨語，帶著夢想，充滿真誠，期盼圣誕老人的到來。
