Colin: Thank you, Frank.

1. Plainclothes

指的是便衣（不穿制服的）警察。"便衣"除了plainclothes，還可以用undercover 來形容，例如：undercover policeman（便衣警察），undercover FBI agent（聯邦調查局密探），undercover security guard （便衣保安）等等。

警察正式的名稱是 police (集合名詞，只能當復數用，不能指個人)，或是 policeman (指個人)。而警官則是 police officer。就像在中文里我們常常戲稱警察為"條子"一樣，在美國老美也戲稱警察是 cop。這個用法由來是以前警察都穿那種有銅扣 (copper) 的大衣，所以就被昵稱為 copper。后來日子久了就變成了 cop。 這個詞原來是有一點歧視的味道，不過時間久了，連警察們自己都互稱是 cop，所以就變成一個中性的字眼了。

2. Catch up with

這里的catch up with 可不是"逮捕、處罰"的意思，而是"趕上"，在這個片段可以理解為"過去找你們"。我們來看個例子：You run so fast it's hard to catch up with you.
The auditors finally caught up with the embezzler.

3. School's out.

通常“School's out.”是表示“school break 假期”，如暑假、寒假等等，這里的意思則是"學業結束了"，但是這個用法并不常見。這里 Costello 想說的意思是“學業結束了，沒什么理由不去慶祝一下”。
