Could you explain "a good eye"?

When we say someone has a good eye for something, we mean they have a talent for evaluating its worth.

For example, if your friend has a good eye for fashion, they are great at spotting up-and-coming trends.

Or, if you have a good eye for bargains, you are one of those people that always find the best and cheapest deals at a market, often while your friends pay too much for bad buys at the same place.
