          Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, northwest China, Gansu is one of the cradles of Chinese culture. It occupies a total area of 453,700 square kilometers and 14 cities. With a population of 25.53 million (by 2012), Gansu has a multinational population which includes ethnic minority groups of Kazak, Mongolian, Tibetan, Hui, Dongxiang, Tu and Manchu.

          Lanzhou city

          Lanzhou is the capital city of Gansu province in northwest China. The Yellow River runs through the city, ensuring rich crops of many juicy and fragrant fruits. The city is the transportation and telecommunication center of the region.? read more

          Jiuquan city

          Situated in the northwest of Gansu province, Jiuquan neighbors Zhangye in the east within the province. It is also bordered by Qinghai province in the south, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in the west and Inner Mongolia and Mongolia in the north. read more

          Jinchang city

          Longnan city is situated in the southeast of Gansu province, neighboring Shaanxi province in the east and Sichuan province in the south. Within Gansu, Longnan borders Tianshui in the north and Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture in the west. read more
