International Forum on horse culture on to a good start

The] government of the city of Zhangye held an opening ceremony for an International Forum on Silk Road Horse Culture, the afternoon of Aug 8, with a member of the Gansu provincial Party Committee, Lian Ji, on hand to address the gathering.

Lian told the audience that the Silk Road Economic Belt has created many opportunities for Gansu and its economy, obviously because it sits astride the Silk Road, and that it will make every effort to develop the culture and promote horse cultural and related industries.

Since the forum centered on the Silk Road Economic Belt and horse culture, there were many experts and entrepreneurs showing up to discuss the topic and the Silk Road culture, as well as Chinese civilization.

The sponsor of the event was the China Horse Industry Association, which took the opportunity to sign some cooperation contracts with the Shandan Husbandry Farm concerning horse ranching.
