First Silk Road (Jiayuguan) International RV Expo invites business

The First Silk Road (Jiayuguan) International RV Expo launched a business invitation session in Beijing on July 19.

Zang Qiuhua, director of the Gansu provincial Industry and Information Commission, briefed the participants on the expo’s general situation.

Wang Yan, deputy secretary of the Party's Jiayuguan Municipal Committee, focused in his remarks on the city of Jiayuguan, as well as the preparation for the expo.

Favorable policies were launched at the event to attract participation. Recreation vehicle (RV) companies can get a 1,000 yuan ($150) subsidy for each vehicle they exhibit. For those who offer a "tourism route" experience vehicle, highway tolls and the admission fee for certain tourists spots will be exempted.

Over 30 established RV companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Yutong RV, took part in the expo, which is poised to excel with distinctive cultural characteristics, sound operational procedures and influential brand effect. It is also expected to be a new name card for Jiayuguan..

It will be held at Nanhu Culture Ecological Garden in Jiayuguan from September 28 to Oct 2. Designed to integrate resources along the RV industrial chain, it will encourage leading industrial companies, associations and camping site operators to meet and exchange ideas.

The Expo was co-sponsored by the Industry and Information Technology Commission in Gansu province, the Gansu Tourism Development Committee and the Jiayuguan Municipal Government.

Gansu enjoys diverse geological characteristics including desert, the Glacier River and hills and grassland. It thus has favorable conditions for RV camping sites. Jiayuguan aims to establish itself as a cluster for exhibition, sale and operation of RVs in China.
