Manzhouli

Manzhouli, a hundred-year-old port city in Inner Mongolia, has a blend of Chinese, Russian and Mongolian civilization. It’s small in size, but metropolitan in style. Chic architecture of diversified styles make the small city’s streets distinct from each other. Manzhouli is just like a European city when the lights are on at night.

Moreover, as a trade city, Manzhouli has a wide range of foreign products, and the shops’ signboards are in three languages: Chinese, Russian and Mongolian.

Attraction 1: Snow and ice festival park

The snow and ice park is located in Xijiao Wetland Parks. The ice and snow sculptures in the park are featuring Chinese, Russian and Mongolian styles. Not only a place to appreciate snow and ice scenery, the park also has an ice maze, skating and icy slides.

The park is a crystal-like land glistening with colorful light at night.

Attraction 2: Hulun Lake

Hulun Lake, the largest lake in Inner Mongolia, is 36 kilometers away from Manzhouli. The lake may freeze as deep as three meters in winter, making it the largest frozen body in China. One of the activities at icy Hulun Lake is ice fishing.

Where is it?

West of Hulunbuir grasslands, between Xin Barag Left Banner and Manzhouli.

Drive or go by taxi.
