Old Party member celebrates birthday with the Party

Qu Baoxian, the secretary of the Nantong Development Zone's Party committee, visited Huang Yuxiang, a 93-year-old Party member, on June 30, a day before the CPC's Founding Day, on July 1, the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area has reported.

"I was born in May 24, 1921, on the Chinese lunar calendar, and this year my birthday is on July 1 on the solar calendar, the same day as the Party's birthday." Huang explained proudly.

Although he's in his 90s, Huang is still energetic and keeps his hair black and "He's sound except for the bad hearing," his 84-year-old wife commented.

Huang joined the revolution when he was young. And it has been decades since he retired, but he still keeps his Party habits and exercises for two hours every morning and lives a simple life. He's also kind to others and always makes suggestions for members of the community.

When asked how he keeps himself healthy, he replied simply, "We live at a good time. As long as we all do good things and keep optimistic, anybody can live for 100 years."
