Dea Helicopter Co from the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) is taking part in the 10th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition with its light helicopters, unmanned aircraft and aero-engines in the city of Zhuhai, Guangdong province, from Nov 11 to 15.
Dea, owned by Guangdong Elecpro Electric Appliance Holding Co, settled in the Suzhou-Nantong Science and Technology Industrial Park of NETDA early this year. It boasts world leading technologies and a development and research team with members from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia and China.

As the exclusive agent of Austria’s Schiebel Aircraft GmbH in China, Dea not only introduced Schebel’s advanced unmanned aircraft Camcopter S-100, but also its experience in application, management, training and maintenance, promoting the development of unmanned aircraft in the country.
The construction of the production base in the industrial park will soon come to an end, allowing for small scale production to start early next year. “We aim to create a complete industrial chain in the city and promote the local aerospace industry,” said Zhu Jiagang, president of Elecpro.
The industrial park will also introduce more companies in aero research and development, production, operation and services to form an aero industrial cluster, according to Li Mingwei, vice-director of the park.
The China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, known as Airshow China, is held every two years in the southern port city of Zhuhai since 1996. It features new aircraft, trade talks and technological exchanges.

The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
