This area is connected to major transportation networks, including the Chongming-Nantong Highway, Hangzhou Bay Bridge and other major highways.

The network connects the Yangtze River Delta within two hours to its center—Shanghai. The Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone is 35 kilometers from Pudong International Airport, 15 kilometers to Hongqiao International Airport, 20 kilometers to the Waigaoqiao Deep-Water Port, and 60 kilometers to the Yangshan Deep-Water Port.

There are also magnetically levitated trains, two bridges crossing the Yangtze River, six tunnels under the Yangtze River and seven rail lines in this zone.
