Tourists view stunning desert scenery in Dunhuang

The Crescent Moon Spring scenic area in Dunhuang city, in Northwest China's Gansu province, is an ideal destination for many tourists to view the desert scenery during the International Workers' Day weekend from May 1 to 3.

The Crescent Moon Spring scenic area is composed of the Crescent Moon Spring and Singing Sand Mountains. The national key scenic spot is located 6 km south of Dunhuang city.

At the scenic region is a 150-meter-long crescent moon shaped pool - known as Crescent Moon Spring – which is surrounded by the Singing Sand Mountains, lending it the name of "astonishing sound breaks out in the mountains as the wind blows over the dunes". Visitors can also benefit from free WiFi in the scenic area.
