LNA infrastructure construction conference

Liangjiang New Area's (LNA) infrastructure construction investment is expected to reach 40 billion yuan ($6.6 billion) in 2014. The investment focuses mainly on the construction of an airport, port (Guoyuan Port), city road, highway, rail transit (Line 4), and water and electrical facilities.

In addition to the construction of the Yiheng Line, the city road, Shengtang Avenue, Yuefu Avenue and Shugang Road in the industrial area of Liangjiang, the "one bridge and two lines, five factories and six stations" are also listed as key construction projects for next year. “One bridge” refers to the Jialing River bridge construction in Shuitu Industrial Park. “Two lines” refers to pipeline construction and reparation of aviation oil pipelines in Shuitu Industrial Park. "Five factory" refers to the construction of Yuzui waterworks, two water supply plants, Jiangdong waterworks and the Guoyuan sewage treatment plant, the Shuitu sewage treatment plant and Yinpen sewage treatment plant. “Six stations” refer to the construction of the Fu Sheng substation, Longxing northern substation, Xujiayuan substation, Shuitu second high-tech substation, Fu Sheng second substation and Longxing fourth substation.

Thanks to the promotion of large-scale development and focus on infrastructure construction since its establishment three years ago, the function of Liangjiang New Area has greatly improved. The construction of city roads; facilities for water, electricity and gas; and public rental housing has advanced rapidly. Infrastructure construction has ensured sustainable and stable development of Liangjiang New Area. According to preliminary statistics, the average annual infrastructure investment reached 35 billion yuan. A total investment of over 120 billion yuan has been completed in 3.5 years

As the key area of Liangjiang New Area, Liangjiang Development Zone has invested more than 10 billion yuan in infrastructure. At present, more than 280 kilometers of road construction has been started and more than 200 km of road construction has been completed. A total of 12 million square meters of housing are under construction. In three years, three waterworks, four water sewage treatment plants and 12 power stations have been under construction. Two gas distribution stations, 37 gas supply pipes and 39,000 installations of household gas have been finished. In addition, the transfer and construction of various pipes and networks spanning 1,064 kilometers has been completed. Especially, gas pipeline construction of 33 km in Longxing Industrial Park has forced the industrial park to overcome difficulties to finish the project.
