In the just completed first quarter of this year, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Liangjiang New Area (LNA) increased by 15 percent, with a turnover of 74.3 billion yuan ($ 11.89)?(exports 38.6 billion yuan, an increase of 103.5 percent; and imports at 35.69 billion yuan, a 3500 per cent increase), with the increase in turnover 1.8 times higher.

In 2014, with two gold processing enterprises established in the Cuntan bonded port area and the acceleration of imported gemstones, the import and export of precious stones, and gold goods become a new force to increase Liangjiang New Area’s trade. The bonded port construction continues to play a supporting role in processing LNA's trade development.
