As one of the 10 strategic emerging industries that Liangjiang New Area focuses on, the new energy vehicle industry and its infrastructure are developing rapidly.

Chongqing Liangjiang Teld New Energy Co built 1,336 charging terminals in 2016, covering Liangjiang New Area, Yuzhong district, Banan district, and other areas across Chongqing.

As of December, the company has approved 269 projects to build 4,088 charging facilities, with one third of them having already been completed.

The charging points use a smart charging system for electrical vehicles, pioneering charging technology. By transmitting energy to receivers within the car the system allows vehicles to be charged without the use of an electrical plug.

The company also funded the construction of Longxing Jihua Garden Charging Station and Longzhouwan Transportation Center to serve public transport. The Longxing Jihua Garden Charging Station has become the largest charging station for public buses in Chongqing.

Chongqing Liangjiang Teld New Energy Co has come about as a result of the cooperation between Qingdao Teld New Energy Co and Chongqing New Energy Vehicle Development Ltd. Set up last June, the company focuses on the construction and operation of the new energy vehicle charging infrastructure in Chongqing area.
