Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality issued a plan to support about 2,000 high-level talents and 500 teams within five years, including 100 outstanding scientists, 300 top teachers, 900 innovative talents, 200 technical personnel, and 500 youth talents.

The plan was released at the 2019 China Headhunting Industry Development Summit, which was held in Chongqing on June 21. The municipality also expects to support more young talents, with an annual number of 100, according to the plan.

Outstanding scientists will receive a subsidy of 300,000 to 500,000 yuan ($43,701- $72,835). The per capita research grant for natural science is 1.2 million to 2 million yuan ($147,804- $291,341), and that for other fields is 800,000 yuan ($116,536). Extraordinary talents will receive special supports once determined by relevant departments.

"We are consistently dedicated to providing considerate support and services for talents in Chongqing," said a staff member of the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Talents can receive preferable services in terms of database resources, technology, employment, migration, visa, healthcare, schooling and employment of their children, talent projects, as well as vacations.

In addition, high-quality and efficient services are provided for talents on a "one-stop" service platform.
