An expert demonstration meeting on the construction of the National (Chongqing) Industrial Internet Center was held on Oct 11 in Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality. China's top experts and scholars were invited to the event to offer advice on the construction.

Luo Lin said that industrial internet is crucial to the world's fourth industrial revolution, and provides a brand-new eco-system for the integration of the new generation of information communication technologies with the industrial economy. Liangjiang will establish a high-standard national industrial internet center and inject new growth momentum into the nation.

Kuang Jian, chief engineer of the Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission, said that the subdivided functions of the center need to be further clarified, as do its operation models. The commission will coordinate efforts with other departments involved in the construction of the center and strengthen communications with relevant national institutions to win policy support.

That special work groups and professional teams are sent to the center was highlighted by Hu Jianbo, vice president of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

Huang Tao, professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, suggested that the center's construction should focus on technology, application, industry, and ecosystems. He also called for more efforts in the integrity, logic, and interactiveness of the demonstration zone.

The National (Chongqing) Industrial Internet Center will mainly be based at the S8 pavilion of the Yuelai International Exposition Center, which will become a permanent demonstration area for the national industrial internet.
