The 2022 AI + Industrial Internet summit forum was held in Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Aug 3.

The Baidu AI Cloud Chongqing Industrial Internet Platform and the Baidu AI Cloud Chongqing Innovation Incubation Platform were launched during the event.

Chai Tianyou, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote report on the development trajectory, new approaches and methods of industrial digitalization and intelligentization.

Shen Dou, executive vice-president of Baidu Inc, said that AI is penetrating into core production scenarios, helping enterprises make intelligent decisions and bringing more practical profits to firms. Shen highlighted Chongqing as a leading industrial city in western China and expressed hope that more local companies will be empowered by the Baidu AI Cloud Chongqing Industrial Internet Platform.

Zhang Li, deputy director of the new area's administrative zone, said he expected that the two platforms launched that day would bring more emerging businesses and application models to intelligent development.

Baidu AI Cloud also signed strategic cooperation contracts with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Industrial Bank Co and a local vocational training school and will cooperate with them in terms of communication, manufacturing, industrial finance, and talent fostering.
