15.8% Passenger Growth in Shanghai Pudong Airport
Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) registered a year-on-year growth of 15.8 percent in passenger volume in June 2015.
The airport handled around 4.8 million passengers in the last month, up 15.8 percent, compared with 4.1 million passengers in the same period last year. Cargo traffic climbed 2.4 percent to 263,500 tonnes, compared with 257,400 tonnes last year. And aircraft takeoffs and landings totaled 35,471, rising a year-on-year growth of 10.7 percent from 32,054 a year earlier.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is one of the two airports in Shanghai, and it is also a major aviation hub for Asia.
