Selby leads Ding 10-7 at snooker worlds final

SHEFFIELD, England - China's Ding Junhui fought back from 6-0 down to trail world number one Mark Selby 10-7 after the first day's competition in the finals of the snooker world championship here on Sunday.

Selby, the 2014 champion, took a commanding lead but Ding managed to win the last two frames in the first session to make it 6-2.

Selby then won the opening frame of the second session with a break of 34 after Ding had missed a red to a center pocket.

The Englishman suffered an unfortunate miscue and Ding made a counter-attacking 76 break.
