When some artists who work with wood, from the city of Beijing and Guizhou and Jiangsu provinces held an exhibition in New Jersey, in the US, from Oct 31 to Nov 14, with 45 of their works on display, they received a lot of compliments from people visiting the studio.

Taking part in the show was Zhang Jiemin and three other artists presents who attracted a group of 60 teachers and students of fine art. They commented that being up close to such artists and being able to communicate with them was a rare experience.

In commenting on the display, Cong Zhiyuan, head of the China Art center of the William Paterson University of New Jersey remarked, "Woodcuts have eternal value and charm", and said that he hopes to see more of these exhibitions in the future to show the value of woodcuts in comparison to paintings.
