Guizhou is located in the eastern Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau of Southwest China. It is contiguous to Hunan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guangxi from the east, north, west and south, respectively. It covers an area of 176,200 square kilometers.
Several traffic circles will be realized to connect Guizhou to other cities. A two-hour traffic circle will connect it to Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming and Changsha. A four-hour traffic circle will connect it to Wuhan, Guangzhou and Xi'an. A six-hour traffic circle will connect it to Shanghai.
The bauxite reserves in Guizhou amount to 5.9 million tons, ranking fourth in the whole country. Phosphorus ore reserves in Guizhou amount to 3.29 billion tons, ranking third in the whole country. The manganese ore reserves in Guizhou amount to 9.8 million tons.
Guizhou is an important industrial base of the aviation, aerospace and electronics industry in China. The machinery manufacturing industry in Guizhou is strong. It also has tremendous developmental potential in optical instruments.
All organizations involved in services concerning foreign affairs conduct their work publicly in time-limited service. There are government bodies devoted to investors. These institutions are the Guizhou Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, Guizhou Provincial Service Center for External Investment.
Over the years, the provincial government has vigorously implemented the talents-reinforcing-province strategy and accelerated talent squad construction, focusing on carrying out a series of talent cultivation measures, such as the Four-First Project, New Century Millions Talents Project.
Guizhou has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 18 major national scenic spots, nine national nature protection areas, eight national geological parks, 39 State-level major cultural relic preservation sites, and two national historical and cultural cities.
