When talking about Chinese baijiu, one cannot skip the famous Moutai spirit produced by Kweichow Moutai Group in northern Guizhou. However, the province has another famous brewer located in its southwest, Guizhou Mellow Brewery, renowned for its low-alcohol liquor.
Found just outside Xingyi city of the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, the brewery covers a massive 4 million square meters. Besides the mellow baijiu which it produces, the brewery itself is a scenic spot worthy of visiting.
Elegance Park, named after the low-alcohol liquor made at the brewery, is so wide that you can choose to take the sightseeing on foot or in a car. It is an area of tremendous natural beauty with high peaks, running rivers, and ancient buildings.
The land is awash with vibrant colors of nature, greens, reds, and golds in autumn, and is an ideal place for visitors to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of modern urban life.
The Nahui River snakes its way through the park, lined on its banks with pathways, trees and shrubbery. The pure water from the river is used to give the baijiu a unique and refreshing taste.
Located in the center of the park is the traditionally-styled Elegance Building, it’s red eaves curling upwards towards the Wanfenglin Peaks which loom tall in the background.
