Guizhou province held an equipment industry expo at the Guiyang International Conference and Exhibition Center on June 28, showcasing its strength in manufacturing equipment for major national projects and new energy industries.
The expo exhibited some 1,350 products from 260 companies across from the province. The exhibits spanned different categories across the exhibition halls covering some 20,000 square meters.
Rare equipment used for national defense and space programs, such as drones, training aircrafts, all-terrain vehicles and surface-to-air missiles were exhibited, attracting many visitors.

Intelligent manufacturing was highlighted with robotics, 3D printing equipment and numerically controlled machine tools. New energy vehicles and their charging equipment also were on display at the expo.
The expo provided a platform for equipment manufacturers and service suppliers to sign agreements for future cooperation. Four meetings were held the same day, promoting commercial drones, construction equipment, mining equipment and medical equipment.

Guizhou is reported to take the lead in manufacturing aircraft engines and other new and high-tech electronic components. The equipment industry has achieved a total industrial output value of 30 billion yuan ($4.4 billion), a year-on-year increase of 18 percent.
