The Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture will hold its 11th Conference on Tourism Development in Dushan county from Aug 25 to 26, according to a press conference held on Aug 15.
With the theme of "Leisure Dushan, Cool Heaven", this year's conference will focus on promoting four key scenic spots—Jingxin Valley, Shenhe Bridge, Wulian Ancient City and Tiandong Cave.
The fifth Huadeng (Festive Lantern) Festival and an international cross-country motorcycle race will also take place during the conference.
Dushan county is located at the southernmost point of Guizhou province, with the altitude between 300 and 500 meters higher than the surrounding areas. The average temperature in Dushan is 15 C, neither hot in summer nor cold in winter, giving the location the reputation of a great summer resort.
The conference is expected to promote the pleasant weather, natural scenery and unique culture of Dushan county to attract more visitors to the region.
